Product Details
Flex Film is a durable, polyurethane-based Heat Transfer Vinyl (“HTV”) that is very flexible and STRETCHABLE. Perfect for beginner crafters because it is thin -- easy to cut -- and more elastic than traditional HTV. Approximately 10" x 12" in size, we recommended it for use with the following fabrics: 100% Cotton, 100% Polyester, and Poly-Cotton Blends. Available in 14 colors. Flex Film Sheet FAQs
Can HTV Flex Film Sheets Be Layered?
We recommend Flex Film for layering as you can put 2 or 3 layers on top of each other for multicolor designs. It can also be layered on top of [guided-journey button_text="Sports Twill"] or [guided-journey type='felt' button_text="Sports Felt"] & Fashion Fabrics. NOTE: Cannot be layered on top of [guided-journey type='metallic' button_text="Metallic Twill"] as the Hot-Melt Adhesive does not adhere to the metallized yarns.
How Long Does It Last On Garments?
Our HTV Flex Film is very durable. We have tested this material up to 50 wash and dry cycles without fraying, cracking, fading or peeling.
Are HTV Flex Film Sheets 100% PVC-Free?
Yes. Our HTV Flex Film is 100% free of Polyvinyl Chloride (“PVC”). PVC contains dangerous chemical additives that can be harmful to a child’s health.
Do I Cut Shiny-side Up Or Shiny-side Down?
You must mirror image the design before cutting. Load your HTV Flex Film Sheet on your cutting machine with the shiny-side facedown.
How Stretchable Is HTV Flex Film After All?
Flex Film is a durable, polyurethane-based Heat Transfer Vinyl ("HTV") that is highly flexible and stretchable. Measured at DOUBLE the elasticity of traditional HTV. It must be ironed onto garments, also known as "Heat Pressing," to activate the hot-melt adhesive for the material to stick to most fabrics. If stretchiness is NOT an important feature for you, please consider our HTV Sports Film instead.
Should I Use A Cover Sheet When Heat Pressing?
Yes. You should always cover your HTV Flex Film designs with a brown kraft sheet, parchment paper or TeflonTM sheet to protect the HTV Flex Film material, the heat press machine and your garments.
Can I Cut HTV Flex Film Sheets On A Desktop Plotter?
HTV Flex Film Sheets can be cut using any desktop (craft) cutter like Silhouette Cameo or Cricut Maker. Additionally, ALL forms of cutting work -- laser, plotter, flat-bed plotter, die cutting and shearing. Recommended settings are listed in the "Cut Settings" section above.
