|PRICE PER YARD|
HTV Flex Film is the perfect material for athletes! Compared to HTV Sports Film, Flex Film is a thinner, more elastic material that's great for beginner crafters! In fact, its elasticity has been measured as DOUBLE the stretchability of HTV Sports Film. It's also wider than Sports Film by 2 inches (18" vs 20"), which results in 72 square inches of extra material per yard. Flex Film features our proprietary adhesive, which has been tested at 50+ wash and dry cycles. Specifically designed for use with textiles, and commonly referred to as Flexible HTV, Iron-On Vinyl and Crafters Vinyl. Sold by the yard in rolls up to 50 yards per color.
NOTE: This product has been replaced by HTV Ultra Flex.
HTV Flex Film is recommended for use with the following fabrics: 100% Cotton, 100% Polyester, and Poly-Cotton Blends.
- Temperature: 305°F
- Time: 10-15 seconds
- Pressure: Medium
- Peel: Warm
HINT: Run a lint roller over the transfer area (on the garment) to remove any loose threads or stray fibers. Preheat your garment for 5 seconds. Place the transfer onto the garment, then place a cover sheet over the design. Time, temperature and pressure may vary if using an iron instead of a heat press machine.
HTV Flex Film can be cut using any laser cutter, plotter cutter, or desktop (craft) cutter like Silhouette Cameo and Cricut. Laser-cutting allows for super fine detail and is easier to see where the weeding should start. NOTE: Prior to cutting the HTV Flex Film, you must flip your design so that it's it's mirrored in your cutting machine. We recommend that you do a 'test cut' when using this material for the first time.

HTV Flex Film FAQs.

HTV Flex Film is STRETCHABLE, which is its main advantage over HTV Sports Film. Its elasticity has been measured as DOUBLE the stretchability of HTV Sports Film. It is also wider than Sports Film by 2 inches (18" vs 20"), which results in 72 square inches of extra material per yard. Available in fourteen (14) colors: Black, White, Gold, Kelly Green, Olive Green, Navy, Red, Orange, Yellow, Royal, Neon Green, Neon Orange, Neon Pink and Neon Yellow. Contact our USA-based Customer Service Team at (866) 806-9120 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns.
• How Thick Is The HTV Flex Film?
Our Flex Film has a thickness of about 4-Mils compared to 7-Mils for our HTV Sports Film material.
• Is HTV Vinyl Flex Film Stretchable?
Flex Film is a durable, polyurethane-based Heat Transfer Vinyl ("HTV") that is highly flexible and stretchable. It must be ironed onto garments, also known as "Heat Pressing," to activate the hot-melt adhesive for the material to stick to most fabrics. If stretchiness is NOT an important feature for you, please consider our HTV Sports Film instead.
• How Easy Is HTV Flex Film To Weed?
Weeding, which is the process of removing unnecessary material from a design, can be fair to moderate, especially when working with small letters or intricate designs. Peel warm.
• Can The HTV Vinyl Flex Film Be Layered?
We recommend Flex Film for layering as you can put 2 or 3 layers on top of each other for multicolor designs. It can also be layered on top of [guided-journey button_text="Sports Twill"] or [guided-journey type='felt' button_text="Sports Felt"] and Fashion Fabrics. NOTE: Cannot be layered on top of [guided-journey type='metallic' button_text="Metallic Twill"] as the Hot-Melt Adhesive does not adhere to the metallized yarns.
• Which Side of The HTV Flex Film Do I Cut?
Place the HTV Flex Film glossy-side facedown (matte side face-up). The shiny side of the material is the Mylar carrier. The clear, Mylar carrier holds the Heat Transfer Vinyl in place so that the design stays intact when cutting and heat pressing.
• What Does The HTV Vinyl Flex Film Adhere To?
HTV Flex Film adheres to most fabrics except for Nylon and Leather. It works well with 100% Cotton, 100% Polyester and Poly-Cotton Blends. Our HTV Sports Grip is a similar product with a slightly modified hot-melt adhesive that is ideally suited for Nylon fabrics.
• Can I Cut HTV Flex Film On A Tabletop Plotter?
HTV Vinyl Flex Film cuts clean on all desktop cutters, including Cricut and Silhouette Cameo. All forms of cutting work -- laser, plotter, flat-bed plotter, die cutting and shearing.
