Product Details
TwillUSA.com invented HTV Flock in 1983, and we hold the U.S. patent for the methods and materials used to make it. Ours was the first decorative Flock that did not curl, as the lay-flat nature of the invention allowed it to be placed easily onto a garment and heat-pressed. We added a clear Mylar carrier so that it could be cut and weeded in a pre-spaced manner. Perfect for T-shirts and other delicate garments because of its soft, luscious appearance. Easy to cut. Easy to weed. Easy to apply. Repositionable. Available in sixteen (16) colors: White, Gray, Black, Navy, Royal, Columbia, French Blue, Bright Green, Emerald, Red, Cardinal Red, Magenta, Pink, Gold, Maize Yellow and Purple. Sold by the yard in rolls up to 50 yards per color.

HTV Sports Flock FAQs
What Is HTV Flock?
Our HTV Sports Flock is made with rayon filament yarn that is cut into 30-Mil long fibers. An electrostatic charge then imbeds them onto a liquid layer of thermosetting adhesive, which is on top of a thermoplastic layer of polyester adhesive. The Flock fibers stand straight up (in the liquid) due to the electric charge. It is then sent into a festoon oven for a long period of time to cure. Any excess fibers are vacuumed off and recycled. The finished product is today's HTV Flock, ready to be cut and heat-applied.
Can Sports Flock Be Layered?
Yes. HTV Sports Flock can be layered on top of other fabrics like [guided-journey button_text="Sports Twill"] or [guided-journey type='felt' button_text="Sports Felt"] -- but not [guided-journey type='metallic' button_text="Metallic Twill"] -- or used with any other fabric as the foreground only (topmost layer).
Is HTV Sports Flock Stretchable?
No. Flock is among the most durable products offered by Twill USA. It is soft and pliable, but not stretchable.
How Durable Is The Sports Flock?
Our heat-applied Sports Flock is extremely durable. The material has been tested to withstand 50 wash and dry cycles without peeling or fading.
To Which Materials Does It Adhere To?
Our HTV Flock adheres to Acrylics, 100% Cotton, Polyester Knits, Polyester Mesh, 100% Polyester, Poly-Cotton Blends, Poly Form and Cotton Caps.
Can Sports Flock Be Ironed Onto Garments?
Our Sports Flock features a 3-Mil Polyback Hot-Melt Adhesive backing that can be ironed onto garments directly. When your iron is at temperature, place a TeflonTM sheet over the transfer, then use light-to-medium pressure for about 15 seconds. Let cool before peeling warm. If any part of the design has difficulty adhering to garments, simply iron the transfer for an additional 5-10 seconds.
What Are The Care Instructions For This Product?
For best results, we recommend that you wait 24 hours before washing for the first time. Turn the garment(s) inside out and use cold temperature with a mild detergent only. Do not use bleach.
Do I Have To Use A Cover Sheet When Heat Pressing Flock?
Yes. You should always cover your HTV Sports Flock with a brown kraft sheet, parchment paper or TeflonTM sheet to protect the material, the heat press and your garments.
Do I Cut This Material Shiny-side Up or Shiny-side Down?
HTV Flock designs should be mirrored (reverse-cut). You should always cover your transfers with a brown kraft sheet, parchment paper or TeflonTM sheet to protect the material, then heat press and your garments.
