- Baby Blue

- Neon Green
HTV Sports Film is our registered name for Heat Transfer Vinyl, which is commonly referred to as HTV, Iron-On Vinyl, Heat Press Vinyl, Crafters Vinyl, and competes against Siser’s EasyWeed® and Stahl’s CAD-CUT® Thermo-FILM® in the marketplace. It is similar to Siser EasyWeed® in many respects, but our HTV Vinyl is a thicker, more durable material that is a better choice for full-contact sports like football, hockey and rugby.
This Starter Pack consists of 9″ by 10″ sheets of HTV Glitter (formerly known as Kwik Cut Sports Glitter) in these popular colors:
- Rainbow White
Add excitement and pizzazz to your garments by creating brilliant designs with Heat Transfer Vinyl (“HTV”) Glitter. Our HTV Glitter material has a brilliant finish and an easy-to-use sticky carrier. This material is thicker than most of our other HTV films, so increase the downward pressure of your knife blade to 200 grams (minimum) to ensure clean cuts and easy weeding.
This Starter Pack consists of 9″ by 12″ sheets of 100% Acrylic Sports Felt (with PSA Permanent Adhesive) in these popular colors:
- Pirate Green
- Antique Gold
Sports Felt is a type of textile fabric made from non-woven Acrylic Felt. The material is very strong and durable, which makes it a favorite for activewear applications including retro-style logos and numbers for throwback jerseys, crafting, and appliques. Popular on sweatshirts and beanies.
Sizes could be +/- 0.50in due to manufacturing variances, and colors may be different than what the screen on your device shows. NOTE: We recommend that you do a “test cut” when using these materials for the first time.

Starter Pack FAQs
How Thick Is The HTV Sports Film?
Heat Transfer Vinyl (“HTV”) Sports Film is a laminate of polyurethane (PU) and polyester adhesive. Our Sports Film has a thickness of about 7-Mils compared to 4-Mils for our HTV Flex Film. At 7-Mils thick, it is strong and durable enough to be used in full-contact sports, yet has some degree of stretchability. NOTE: If stretchiness is an important feature for you, please consider our HTV Flex Film instead.
Is HTV Vinyl Sports Film Stretchable?
It does stretch a minimal amount. However, if stretchiness is an important feature for you, please consider our HTV Flex Film instead. Its elasticity has been measured as DOUBLE the stretchability of Sports Film.
Can The HTV Vinyl Sports Film Be Layered?
We usually recommend Flex Film for layering as it’s a thinner HTV Vinyl (4-Mils). However, if you’re partial to HTV Sports Film (7-Mils), you can put 2 or 3 layers on top of each other for multicolor designs. It can also be layered on top of Sports Twill or Sports Felt and Fashion Fabrics. NOTE: Cannot be layered on top of Metallic Twill as the Hot-Melt Adhesive does not adhere to the metallized yarns.
How Easy Is HTV Vinyl Sports Film To Weed?
The Mylar carrier has a low tack adhesive so that only the area you are trying to weed peels off. Any part of the design that accidentally peels off can be pressed back down. This durable film doesn’t break apart easily so it can usually be pulled off in one piece. Peels warm or cold.
What Does The HTV Vinyl Sports Film Stick To?
HTV Sports Film adheres to most fabrics except for Nylon and Leather. It works well with all Acrylics, 100% Cotton, Polyester Knits, Polyester Mesh, 100% Polyester, Poly-Cotton Blends, Poly Form and Cotton Caps.
Which Adhesive Backing Does Glitter Vinyl Have?
Yes. It’s thermal adhesive backing (P600 3-Mil Polyback) provides stability for cutting + heat-pressing on garments. The polyester-based coating has no PVC and can be cut on plotters, lasers or even hand-cut.
Do I Have To Use A Cover Sheet When Heat Pressing?
You should always cover your Heat Transfer Vinyl (Sports Film & Glitter Vinyl) with a brown kraft sheet, parchment paper or TeflonTM sheet to protect the HTV material, the heat press machine and your garments.
Which Adhesive Backing Does HTV Sports Film Have?
HTV Sport Film’s thermal adhesive backing (P600 3-Mil 49.5″ Polyback) provides stability for cutting and pressing onto garments. Its polyester-based coating has no PVC and can be cut on plotters, dies, lasers or even hand-cut, and it adheres to most fabrics except for Nylon and Leather. An added benefit is that our HTV Sports Film can be dry-cleaned.
What Applications Is PSA Permanent Sports Twill Used For?
Many customers use PSA Permanent Sports Twill to create patches and emblems for work shirts or caps, and it is especially popular for embellishing hats with the initials of a city (i.e. NYC). Other uses include player names and numbers for sports jerseys, or as the background for multicolor, multi-material designs. NOTE: Green transfer tape is necessary for applying player names, otherwise you’ll need to measure the placement of each letter.
Which Blade Should I Use To Cut The PSA Permanent Sports Twill?
60° blades work best for cutting PSA Permanent Sports Twill. On some machines it’s called the “thick” blade.
Do I Have To Sew The PSA Permanent Sports Twill Design After Cutting It?
PSA Permanent Sports Twill is the ultimate Tackle Twill product, as it can be heat-applied, sewn onto the garment, or a combination of both on multicolor designs.
Can I Sublimate Onto HTV Glitter? Which Glitter Vinyl Colors Are Best For Sublimation?
Since the HTV Glitter Vinyl has polyester fibers, it may be used for sublimation depending upon the color (Rainbow White only).
Can I Sublimate Onto PSA Permanent Sports Twill? Which Tackle Twill Product Is Best For Sublimation?
No. We do not recommend sublimating onto Tackle Twill with an adhesive backing as the temperature required for sublimation is higher than the temperature at which the Hot-Melt Adhesive will activate. In our experience, this causes the glue to “come up” through the surface of the print. Therefore, we recommend sublimating onto Uncoated Sports Twill first, then applying PS965 5-Mil PSA Permanent Adhesive afterwards, which allows for heat pressing or sewing the transfer onto the garment(s).
