Also known as Scrim Felt, the Uncoated Starched Felt is designed for use with chenille fabric. Made from blended Rayon/Wool (80%/20%), this bleed-free material is applied as felt lining for chenille athletic letters or mascots. Easy to cut and handle. Available in 2 colors — Antique Gold or Purple. Product is 42″ wide and sold by the yard in rolls up to 50+ yards. NOTE: “Uncoated” means this material does not have an adhesive backing and must be sewn onto garments.

Cut Settings
Uncoated Starched Felt can be cut using any laser cutter, plotter cutter, or desktop (craft) cutter like Silhouette Cameo and Cricut. The following settings are recommended for the Silhouette Cameo 3:
- Deep Cut Blade (or 60° blade) set on "6"
- Force = 33
- Speed = 2
- 2 Passes
NOTE: We recommend that you do a ‘test cut’ when using this material for the first time.

Yes. Uncoated Starched Felt is 100% free of PVCs.
Can I Cut Uncoated Starched Felt On A Tabletop Plotter?
Uncoated Starched Felt can be cut using any laser cutter, plotter cutter, or desktop (craft) cutter like Silhouette Cameo and Cricut. Recommended settings for the Silhouette Cameo 3 are listed in the "Cut Settings" section above. NOTE: Perfect for laser-cutting as the material doesn't burn as much as Acrylic Felt.
What Blade Should I Use To Cut Uncoated Starched Felt?
A 60° blade works best for cutting Uncoated Starched Felt. On some machines it’s called the “thick” blade. Machines vary, but 150 grams of downforce is usually sufficient to get a clean cut.
How Is Uncoated Starched Felt Different Than Acrylic Felt?
Acrylic Felt is a dense fabric that is used as an applique material for finishing garments, whereas Starched Felt is used as a lining or background material, especially with chenille. Additionally, Acrylic Felt is available with an adhesive backing that can be heat-applied onto garments, whereas Uncoated Starched Felt must be sewn onto garments.
